Description:

30 second tv and social media spot to promote Toys for Tots coming back to Fort Wayne sponsored by Midwest Federal Credit Union.

Challenge:

No budget. Pro Bono. Need it in a week.

Item 1:

2d Animated intro

Solution:

Our script started out referencing the joy of Christmas morning as a kid. I wanted to make something that played on this theme and felt almost like a child imagined it. I took heavy inspiration from old cutout printed holiday cards because I could animate them without spending a ton of time on it.

Item 2:

Studio stop motion

Solution:

We sponsored a donation box at our office and I wanted to utilize the box and all of the toys in a stop motion of some sort. There were so many possibilites but time was sparce so compiling them into a christmas tree felt fitting. Again there were so many awesome things we could've done but it was a situation in which time was very limited and the first good idea that came to mind was what we ran with.

Deliverable 3:

Outcome

Description:

One of the center pieces of the show was an elaborate digital music book that housed a photo, bio, and music notes along with playable music from each of the 101 women artists. I created 12 unique backgrounds that randomly shuffled behind each artists portrait and designed the content CMS to filter by genre, name, and songs.

Description:

The installation includes a microsite that is accessible by scanning a QR code next to each display. We worked with the Indiana Historical Society to create a site to house more information about each artist as well as recordings, historical documents, and more from their lives. I built the site using squarespace and mimicked the look and feel of the videos to match.
